The 1988 1st gen 4Runner was where it all began. It was the truck that lit the fire—my first taste of off-roading, modifying, and turning a stock rig into something personal. I originally created Mammoth 4Runners to showcase all the builds I hoped to see up in Mammoth while I was living there. But I quickly realized there weren’t many around—and that’s when Mammoth 4Runner became about building my own vision from the ground up. That first gen didn’t just start the page, it started the passion.
